The short version: we only collect the details we need to prepare your quote and respond to you. We keep them confidential, we never sell them, and we never share them with third parties for marketing. You can ask us to show, correct or delete your data at any time.

1. Who we are

UrbanDwell Energy™ ("we", "us") is a residential solar energy company based in Ragati Road, Upper Hill, Nairobi, Kenya. 2. What we collect

We collect only what you choose to give us:

Contact details — your name, email address and phone number, when you submit our contact form or savings calculator.
Property and energy information — details such as your neighbourhood, property type, roof type and approximate electricity bill, which you provide so we can size a system and estimate your savings.
Anything you write to us — messages or questions you include in a form.

We do not collect payment information through this website, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

3. How we use your information

To prepare your savings estimate and free quotation.
To contact you about your enquiry — by phone, email or WhatsApp, whichever you prefer.
To schedule and carry out your free site assessment.
To keep simple records of enquiries so we can serve you better if you come back.

We will not add you to marketing lists or send you newsletters unless you separately ask us to.

4. Legal basis

We process your data with your consent — which you give by ticking the privacy checkbox when submitting a form — and as necessary to take steps toward a contract with you (preparing your quote). We handle personal data in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.

5. Bot protection (reCAPTCHA)

Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise to block automated spam. Google may collect device and interaction signals to make that assessment, subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

6. Where your data is stored

Form submissions are transmitted securely and stored in our private, access-controlled Google Workspace environment. Access is limited to the UrbanDwell Energy team members who handle quotations and customer service.

7. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing. We share it only where genuinely needed to deliver our service to you — for example, with our own installation engineers — or where the law requires it.

8. Retention

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return. If you ask us to delete your details, we will.

9. Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to ask us:

what personal data we hold about you;
to correct anything that is inaccurate;
to delete your data;
to stop contacting you at any time.

Just email info@urbandwellenergy.com — we respond to all requests within a reasonable time, and you may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner of Kenya.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted on the website.
